Northern shore are less populated than southern one because of the airport was in the south part of Natal in the past years . This city is divided by Potengi river and before the beautiful NAVARRO bridge was built, there was only one bridge to cross this river leading to the development of southern city area.
Now the airport is the northern part of the city where many new quarters have developed. People think this is only the beginning considering the importance of the airport.
